While visting Public Beach in Grand Cayman, we discovered this peculiar tree which is known to locals as the “Shoe Tree”. The story behind the tree is that it’s a local depository for shoes that wash ashore along the islands beaches. Its origin dates back to hurricane Ivan 2004. Additionally, it serves as a reminder not to litter.
